Bike Safety

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Choose from two different classes being taught by Georgia Bikes Safety Education Programs Manager instructor, John R. Bennett.

  • Bike Safety Road Show: The Bike Safety Road Show provides an opportunity for children and their parents/guardians to learn how to stay safe while riding bicycles. Engaging activity stations allow participants to explore the parts of a bike and learn how to make sure they are in good working order, see how to safely fit and wear a bike helmet, and learn the rules of the road that everyone should follow. Each participant will receive a safety certificate after completing all three stations. Children do not need to bring their own bicycles to participate. Parents will need to be present to assist.

  • Safe City Cycling Seminar: Are you interested in bicycle commuting, using your bike to run errands, or simply riding for recreation and exercise? This seminar, presented by a nationally certified instructor, will cover best practices for riding in traffic, selecting routes, outfitting your bike, and biking safely in urban and suburban environments. The seminar will be delivered indoors, and a bicycle is not required for participation.

The classes are FREE, but registration is required!

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
